One of the things I wanted to try on our trip to Lofoten was a smoked salmon sandwich. There was a place close to where we were staying in Å so we thought we’d give it a go. It was the best smoked salmon I’ve had since a salmon fishing trip I took in northern British Columbia 30 years ago. This smoked salmon is awesome. My partner agreed. It was the best she’d ever had. It was so good, we went back to get a filet of smoke salmon. My partner couldn’t resist and bought some smoked herring as well. We had some of the smoked salmon on Wasa crackers with a spreadable goat cheese. Yummy. If you are in or near Å, drop by. You wont regret it.- Mat

Delicious fish on warm bread. All the food is very basic and non elaborate but the fish is very good and the view is stunning. Talking with the owner I’ve been told that the herrings are locally fished near Å while the salmon comes from the northern part of Lofoten Island. The area is nice and very local, luckily less touristic than the other places

Hell yeah! Knew I had to come here. Delicious! Salmon was so fatty and fresh (tried the new item on menu: dill marinated salmon! Light and refreshing for summer, comes with light mustard dressing drizzle). Sour herring was great too, very refreshing and not too salty, with pickles. Place is at the edge of the harbor. Small and super cute, only one bench to sit on outside. Owner was so sweet

Amazing experience at Sild & Salmon in Å, Lofoten! The sandwiches were absolutely incredible—fresh, flavorful, and made with top-quality ingredients. Easily among the best I’ve ever had. The setting is cozy and authentic, with a great view and welcoming atmosphere. A must-stop if you’re in the area!

The little sandwiches are delicious. Available in home-made cold-smoked salmon (raw), sour marinated herring or salty marinated herring and served in crunchy little bread with onions (or not if you don't want) salad and pickles. Delicious ! The lady is really nice too and the view is wonderful.

The smoke salmon sandwich here is super good. 🥪 A perfect place for lunch. I really recommend! I actually dropped my sandwich right after I walked out of the shop. The owners saw it and offered me a new one for free 🥹 They are very kind, and I am also super grateful 🙏🏼

This place is awesome. Top quality lox, with simple accompaniments that make it shine. Excellent service, reasonable prices, wonderful views to enjoy while you eat. 10/10, would recommend.

Enjoyed the sandwiches here - salmon was very creamy and delicious. The cake was just alright though, would recommend focusing on the seafood 🐟 There’s a small area with benches outside the store for eating at - but there will be hungry seagulls staring at you eat :)

A must try while in Lofoten. The food was amazing! It’s a tiny shop with outdoor seating with views of the mountains. Lovely staff. We hope to come back and visit again.

All the sandwiches were delicious and fresh - 4 to choose for 4 people with different taste. My mum was satisfied sooo much with her sour marinated herring :) Greetings for a very nice lady in the bar. P.S. The cheesecake was also very good.

It's a must to stop off for a salmon or herring sandwich here! Super tasty and fresh! Very pleasant and helpful staff who speak English and a few words of French! If you're gluten-free, bring your own bread and Katrin will make you a dish using the ingredients! Picnic tables are available for eating at the end of Lofoten! One of the best restaurants in Lofoten!

Salmon sandwich is really good, plenty of salmon in there, the sour herring one is meh only if you’re like me and NOT INTO FISH, but the salmon one is excellent and the view creates an entire vibe around this meal
